Enjoy a retreat day with our community of contemplative women. You’re invited to be our guest.

What comes to mind when you hear the phrase divine feminine? Is this a phrase that’s familiar to you?

If not, perhaps consider its complement, divine masculine. Does anything come to mind when you hear that?

Most spiritual traditions and paths would say that the Sacred Mystery (often called God) either transcends gender or encompasses the fullness of both the masculine and the feminine, together.

Yet we live in a world that’s steeped in a history and a present reality—even within those same spiritual traditions and paths—that default to masculine names, pronouns, images, and qualities to represent that Sacred Mystery. God is imagined and talked about and in all practicality believed to be only male.

The female faces for and feminine realities of the Sacred Mystery are what you might call the divine feminine.

The divine feminine is that side of the Holy Mystery that invites us beyond what we have previously known to be strictly male or masculine in the sacred presence.

It is the face of God that is also female, that represents and expresses and celebrates and births that which the female energy incarnates and embodies in our world.

It is a gift to be invited to know and relate to her.

  • Does the divine feminine allure you?

  • Do you want to expand your awareness of the Holy Mystery?

  • Does your experience of the Divine One already include more than the masculine face, presence, and energy?

  • Would you like to spend a day going deeper with other contemplative women who care about this too?

This Retreat Day includes . . .

  • Collaborative wisdom gathering

  • Meditations for personal reflection and journaling

  • Six characteristics of the divine feminine

  • Story sharing and invitations for namings and noticings

  • Opportunities to pause and take personal refreshment

Since 2019, Christianne has put her love for discernment and helping others notice and name their light in service of the Light House community, where contemplative women come together to tend their unique invitations to bear their light in the world.

FAQ

How is the retreat delivered?

This retreat is delivered on Zoom. We encourage you to create a quiet, comfortable space for yourself to enjoy the fullness of this retreat day. Breaks (including a meal break) will be provided throughout the day.

Is there any cost?

No. This retreat day is sponsored, at no cost to you, by the Light House community of contemplative women. We are happy to have you join us as a guest member of our community for the day.

Will it be recorded?

Yes. As our further gift to you, we are happy to make available a replay recording of the retreat sessions, which will be delivered via email afterward.

How many people will be in attendance?

Our community retreat days usually draw an attendance of about 30 members of the Light House community. Because this retreat is invitational, allowing our members to invite individuals they know to come along and spend the day with us, we anticipate a larger number in attendance this time.

Am I required to talk or be on camera?

No. While we have found the richest takeaways on these retreats come through the insightful contributions offered by those in attendance and the sense of connection that is created throughout the day through the community’s contributions, participation on camera or by speaking is only ever invited and is in no way required.

Will I be put in a small group?

No. This retreat day offers plenty of room for personal reflection and periodic opportunities for large-group sharing and noticing, but we will stay together in the large group for learning and sharing times on this retreat day.

Do I have to belong to a specific religion or spiritual path to participate?

No. Our community for contemplative women is open to all religious, faith, and spiritual paths and traditions. You can learn more about our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion here.

Will closed captioning and/or a transcript be made available?

Yes. Closed captioning will be made available during the retreat day, as well as on the replay recording, and a closed caption transcript will be included with the replay recordings.
