Three Special Announcements for You
11/11/20
Dear friend,
I've been thinking a lot about whether contemplatives should be political or speak their politics, and I had planned to write this week's newsletter on that topic.
However, events in my week have squeezed out the time I've needed to write my thoughts for you on this, so I'll be doing that for us next week.
In the meantime, I have three fun updates for you:
I was interviewed on one of my very favorite podcasts, What Works with Tara McMullin. In the episode, which went live this week, I talk about the Light House community and what it's been like to realize my invitation to grow into being a community builder the past few years. You can stream the episode on their website here or listen on your favorite podcast app.
I've worked up a new website that will be the new home for my work in the world. I've called it A Contemplative Light, just like the name of this newsletter, and will be adding more content to it in the days to come, including adding information about the Light House community, which will be opening its doors to new members at the end of the year. For now, I hope scrolling through the home page on the new website helps you feel seen and known in your contemplative identity. You can browse the work-in-progress website here.
I've created a light assessment for you. When I thought of ways I could make the new website interactive, the idea of a light assessment came to mind. What if you could check in with the brightness or dimness of your light, name what is true about your current invitations, and notice how you best discern and live with intention into your invitations? You can take the light assessment here.
If you have thoughts on the "contemplative and politics" question you'd like to share with me, you're welcome to reply. Who knows—what you share may further inform what I put together for us to consider next week!
Yours at the speed of soul,
Christianne
